Nebraska Daisy Delivers Kindness Through Cookies
In 2016, Girl Scout Daisy Logan from Nebraska had a customer purchase five packages of cookies with one important request attached—give them away during Random Acts of Kindness Week (an annual opportunity in February to unite through kindness). Entrusted with this unique mission, Logan quickly set out to deliver on her promise. Like a true leader, she took the task one step further by using the cookies to put together care packages. Each bundle included a package of Girl Scout Cookies (yum!), a bottle of milk (crucial!), and a handwritten note from Logan (so thoughtful!). Equipped with these heart- and tummy-warming care packages, Logan and her parents set off to downtown Omaha to share the gifts with homeless people seeking shelter in a park. Now that’s how you do it, Logan! Her compassion was even featured on the local news and shared widely on social media. When you spread kindness, others are inspired to do the same!
