Daisy Suffrage Centennial Activity
Draw your own bookmark.
Make a bookmark about what’s important to you in your town or community.
Activity Details
Time needed: 15–30 minutes
Materials needed:
- Paper (white or colored) to draw on or to make your bookmark with colored pens, markers, or crayons
- White glue
- Scissors
Background:
Bookmarks can make great gifts for the people in your life; in the case of this activity, every time they look at one you made them, they’ll be reminded of what you think is important. First, decide on something in your community, town, or school that you care about.
Activity:
Now it’s time to make a bookmark that illustrates the “why” of your chosen something. Decide how big you want your bookmark to be. Cut your paper to that size and use words and pictures to say what matters to you about the thing you’ve chosen. Be creative!
