Activity:
When you read about a tragedy or accident in which people are injured, often there’s an “everyday” person who doesn’t seem to panic and uses a little bit of training and a lot of courage to save someone’s life. Find out more about these everyday heroes.
Explore wilderness survival. Read a book or article, listen to a podcast, or watch a movie that tells a real-life story about people who faced an emergency in the wilderness. Note how they handled it, including what they did and didn’t do in responding.
Troop Leaders: The instructions for all badge steps are available free of charge in the Girl Scout Volunteer Toolkit.
Girl Scout Activity Zone activities have been adapted from existing Girl Scout programming.
